Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course

We did a day trip yesterday up to Flagstaff to do the Extreme Adventure Course. We had an unused ticket at the last minute, so Kellyn was able to come and join us (she was up at Coby's cabin in Happy Jack).

We left Phoenix about 8am and our original plan was to get breakfast in Flag before our course time. Well traffic was pretty busy all the way up, so grocery store it was for some quick breakfast items. There also happened to be the Coconino County Fair happening this Labor Day weekend so lots of people trying to get into this county park.
Let's do this!
There were 5 different courses to complete - Green, Silver, Blue, Red and Black. The courses become progressively more difficult.
The obstacles ranged from wobbly bridges...

...scrambling walls...
...hanging nets...

...rope swings...
...and suspended surprises.
Once we finished the Red Course, we had to make a decision to go left down a ladder to quit or to go right and complete the black course. When we were getting our equipment on, one of the guys who worked there told us that only 30% of the people completed the entire course. Kellyn completed the Black Course with me and I'm so glad we did!

In the trees.
Walking across a vertical log bridge.

Getting past the monkey bars. So if we were getting really technical, we did not "complete" Black because we did not do the monkey bars. The rings were way too thick for my hands, and I couldn't get a grip around the bars. So, we used the cable below to make our way across. There were 6 other girls up there with us completing this portion of the course and we all did the same thing.
This was the most difficult obstacle of the day. There was a series of about 10 of those horseshoe steps that were hanging by ropes. This obtstacle used both upper and lower body strength and by the end of it my legs felt like jello.
Kellyn would agree with me that this was the most difficult.
Last obstacle of the day,

We made it through Black and through the entire course!

After we finished the course we went to Diablo Burger for dinner. This is by far our most favorite restaurant in Flagstaff. We were also able to sit outside which was nice.
Earned it!!!
