Over the past few years (pretty much since Uriah was born) Halloween has become a celebrated holiday for us again. Kyle used to live in the Willow neighborhood downtown and he would always host since there are so many kids in that neighborhood. The past 2 years we have done Halloween night at our house - our current neighborhood is a bit of a dud when it comes to trick-or-treating, but it works out great for Uriah and Owen.
Kyle was home visiting this year, so a few nights before Halloween we all went to Railroad Park for the Halloween train ride.
Mom was originally planning to be an M&M, but her costume was from Goodwill and pretty much disintegrated after she washed it. So, a cat came through as an easy last-minute idea.
Dave and I were a soap and loofah. I had grand plans to make this costume based on Pinterest, but Dave found it cheap on Amazon so we went the simple route.
Uriah and Owen were race car drivers, and Kellyn and Coby were their pit crew.
Kyle didn't come prepared with a costume, but we had a bunch of glow sticks so he became glow stick man. Pretty creative!
Dinner before trick-or-treating.
Our jack-o-lantern. We hadn't carved anything prior to the 31st, and I saw an idea for a polka dot pumpkin where you used a drill to make the holes. Super easy.
Loot! (Even though they will not eat the majority of this.)
Mom brought candles so everyone could sing Happy Birthday to both Kyle and I.
