Rust Reunion X - Sunday

Sunday was the first "official" day of Rust Reunion X. To back up a bit, we do the Rust Reunions once every 4 years. The last one was in Ludington, MI in 2011. On the "big day" of each reunion, we determine who will take over planning the next reunion in 4 years. In 2011, I got the crazy idea to plan the 2015 reunion along with Mom, Kellyn, Kevin and Jocelyn. The last 4 years have been spent brainstorming and planning this year's reunion in AZ, with the time investment and responsibilities ramping up as the reunion got closer.

My goal was to leave Phoenix by 6:30am on Sunday morning, but in actuality it was closer to 8am. After stopping at LGO to get coffee and then at mom and dad's to pick up things they forgot, I made it up to Pinetop and Lake of the Woods Resort by about noon.

As soon as I arrived I helped hang up sign-up sheets for the various events for the week, and I needed to go run the route for the 5k (which was held on Tuesday).

Sunday night was pizza night since we didn't know for sure how many people would have arrived by dinner, and it was Father's Day so there was an open forum time to share something about your dad if you wanted to. Not a lot going on Sunday, but Monday morning things ramped up.
